Pontocho Hanamachi is a recreation of the famous Geisha district in Kyoto, Japan. Here we live our virtual lives as geisha and involve ourselves in the ways and customs of these devoted women through ceremony, education, performance and individual refinement. Pontocho is an immersible online educational experience unlike any other.
The Pontocho Okiya was founded November 15th, 2008 as a community for learning the intricate and fascinating details of this overlooked culture. We wish to have you be part of our community and join us on our search for beauty and elegance.
